على هامش مشاركتها في المؤتمر الاستعراضي الخامس للإتفاقية حول الأسلحة الكيميائية بلاهاي، نظمت الأمانة التنفيذية للجنة الوطنية المكلفة بتنفيذ المعاهدة حول منع الأسلحة الكيميائية و بالتنسيق مع الأمانة الفنية لمنظمة حظر الاسلحة الكيميائية نشاطا موازيا، فى 15 ماي 2023 بلاهاي تحت عنوان” تعزيز القدرات فى إطار التعاون جنوب-جنوب”. وقد إستقطب هذا الحدث ،والذي يعد الأول من نوعه تنظمه دولة إفريقية و عربية ، إقبالا منقطع النظير من قبل ممثلين دائمين لعدة دول لدى منظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية ومسؤولون بالمنظمة ودبلوماسيون وخبراء من جنسيات مختلفة .
وأبرزت السيدة السفيرة دور الجزائر المحوري و إسهاماتها القيمة في كبح التسلح و حفظ الامن والسلم الدوليين كما استعرض الأمين التنفيذي للجنة الوطنية حول منع الأسلحة الكيميائية ومتدخلين اخرين آخر التحضيرات المتعلقة بإستضافة الجزائر لندوة “كيماكس أفريقيا ” المزمع عقدها بالجزائر العاصمة من 23 سبتمبر -04 أكتوبر 2023.
On the sidelines of its participation in the Fifth Review Conference of the Convention on Chemical Weapons in The Hague, the Executive Secretariat of the National Committee in charge of implementing the Convention on the Prevention of Chemical Weapons, in coordination with the Technical Secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, organised a side event on May 15, 2023 dubbed “capacity building within the Framework of Cooperation.” South-South”. This event , first of its kind to be convened by an african / arab state , attracted a record attendance by permanent representatives of several countries to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, officials of the Organisation, diplomats and experts of different nationalities.
Mrs Ambassador highlighted the Algerian’s key role and its valuable contributions in terms of disarmament and maintenance of international peace and security.
The Executive Secretary of the National Authority for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons and other participants reviewed the latest preparations for the organisation of the “CHEMEX Africa” , due to be held in Algiers on September 23-October 04, 2023.
